Lately, when people admit it is their first time in the store I bypass entirely being offended and ask them what took them so long. When it comes to cheese we offer the finest selection of domestic, imported, farmstead and artisanal cheeses anywhere on the Island (and anywhere within a wide radius). Rose sources cheeses from both major and small producers from every cheesmaking region in the U.S. and abroad. We receive shipments at least three times a week and the selection is constantly changing.

Here’s a few tips for our customers:

when it  comes to selecting cheese don’t be afraid of trying something new. All too often we stay within the narrow confines of our individual comfort zones. Try something new! Trust our selection. There is not a single bad cheese in our store, althought there a few real ’stinkers’.

Tip # 2: if you happen to taste a cheese you really like remember the name of it. We can’t help you select a cheese if you don’t remember the name of the cheese you had last week that blew your mind! Keep the label or package it came in if necessary.

Tip#3: we are all creatures of habit but there are simply too many good cheeses out there to ignore. Cheese is a great compliment to any meal and a great way to entertain guests.

Tip#4: don’t be afraid to ask for help. We love assisting people when it comes to purchasing cheeses. A lovely selection of cheeses and charcouterie will be a guaranteed way to delight your guests.

Tip #5: don’t hesitate to make suggestions, requests or recommendations. We don’t claim to know everything. Some of our best cheeses were the result of customer recommendations. We appreciate your input and support.

Tip#6: try a variety of new things. avoid getting stuck in a rut as a result of habit. A selection of cheeses an compliment each other and add tremendously to your enjoyment of your meal.
